Unlike hardwood floors, bamboo is not harvested from trees. Bamboo is one of the largest, naturally ecologically sustainable and renewable grasses. It grows rapidly and in the wild, can replenish itself in just a few years. Its growth and harvesting
Its growth and harvesting has no effect on local human or animal populations. Pandas neither inhabit nor eat the MOSO bamboo species used by Bamboozle. Harvested after 5 to 6 years, Bamboozle plantations are grown without herbicides, chemical fertilisers, and pesticides.
Bamboo floor planks are manufactured by slicing or shredding the stalk of the bamboo grass plant, and then adhering the pieces back together using heat, pressure, and an adhesive. Using a unique and patented stabilising process, cross layering provides superb strength, hardness and durability.
Bamboozle Floors will not warp, cup, bend, stretch or shrink. It has a Janka Hardness of 14.7 kN. They are durable and hard-wearing. Bamboozle Bamboo floors are generally water and stain resistant and mostly insect and rodent resistant. The surface can be refinished. Sanding and reapplying the finishing coats will provide a fresh new look.
Bamboozle observes strict safety protocols throughout the entire manufacturing process. All Bamboozle floors use a low-emission binder that is neither harmful to human health, nor the environment.
Maintenance is easy. Using rugs or mats at the entrance and in high traffic areas to trap sand or grit will help maintain its presentation. Simply sweep or vacuum regularly to remove small particle debris.
Bamboo may be mopped with a damp mop or cleaned with a non-wax, non-alkaline, hardwood or bamboo floor cleanser. Bamboozle has 15 years success in cleaning Bamboo stabilised prefinished flooring without using chemicals and only utilising micro fibre mops [eg: Enjo].
