Growing up in Western Australia’s South West, Mark developed a keen interest in science and nature. In 2002, having completed a Bachelor of Science in Horticulture, he established his first flooring business.

Innovation, along with a focus on systems development and customer needs, resulted in the achievement of multiple local and national awards, as well as respect both locally and internationally.

Mark regularly gives speeches and talks to government, universities and private groups. He prides himself on being a father, entrepreneur, community leader, and human rights activist and is driven by the pursuit of excellence for himself and his business.

Your first port of call

Decisions, decisions… Come into our award-winning timber flooring Perth showroom, kick off your shoes, and absorb the look and feel of our hardwood floorboards. Let our flooring design consultants help you with all your questions to decide what is right for you. Take home samples to test, or visit homes with completed Lifewood floors, so you can see the product on a large scale. We can estimate costs on the area you’d like installed with timber flooring. Then, once you’ve decided on the boards which suit your home and lifestyle, and whether you’d also like stairs in the timber, we will do an in-home, exact and precise measure, to quote. Take as long as you need, or we can turn this part of the process around immediately for you if that is your preference. You place your order, and can expect a minimal lead time of two to three weeks within Western Australia before your beautiful hardwood floor is completed.

DELIVERY & WAREHOUSING

Delivery & Installation

Meet our Installation Manager and Installers. They are responsible for the best quality, police-checked personnel working in your home, and for laying a product perfectly, so we can guarantee it for a lifetime. This means precision preparation in everything from site access, to furniture removal, to assessing the moisture content of the concrete slab and preparing it for laying. Communication is vital at this point, for you and for our delivery team – you will feel totally informed through the entire process. Expect our Lifewood trained installation team to lay 20-30 sq. m of flooring per day, focusing only on you until your home’s floors are complete. They will attach skirting and beading, and you can walk on the floors and reinstall furniture immediately. They will clean the site to perfection – and if you don’t feel this is the case, Lifewood will pay for professional cleaners, as part of our conditions of service.

Dale has been friends and in business with Mark since their days studying science at University, and has been a part of Lifewood over the 16 years of its life. “Knowing Mark well and how he operates, means I’m better positioned to understand whole business”, he says. In a rarity for the industry, James is Lifewood’s full time flooring engineer, and the cornerstone of quality and production. Working both locally and internationally, James is responsible for development of new and custom products, samples and manufacturing, and reliable stock supplies for both commercial and residential customers.
